I am 28 from Ireland and after many successful years working in business including music and one of the worlds biggest multinationals in both Europe and Asia, I took the chance to walk away from it all in pursuit of a dream I have long held, but only as a “some day” concept. The dream being, can true freedom be achieved while also being sustainable.

I have already been to many of the usual travel paths in Asia so some of my posts will be real time while others will be recounting the experience of first arriving in these locations. The blog will also have posts from the misadventures of spiderman which was inspired by a birthday present and one of the last events I did with the team I managed.

The title “MVP of life” is not my misguided assumption that I am the “most valuable player of life” so it should not be taken to refer to myself. The name was actually inspired by a friend of mine who is one of the most naturally full of life  people I have ever met, so I dubbed him the “MVP of life” before  we mutually agreed the term should apply to ALL people who truly try to live their lives to the fullest. So, it is a shared concept.

This blog is my attempt to document my adventures so that others can either enjoy them for the stories they are or be inspired to do the same.

  1. Hi Brendan,
Loving the blog so far, especially the project Bohol bit 🙂
I am hopefully going to be going this project for a few months asap and was wandering if you could give me some tips/answer some random questions about the project and the Phillipines in general.
Would love to hear from you,
    Hayley Stephens

    • Hi Hayley

Sorry for the delay responding. I am in Cambodia and let the beautiful country distract from the website. I’d be happy to help answer whatever questions you have about project Bohol, project Leyte or travel in Philippines in general.

You can post them on this, or you can email me at mvpoflife@yahoo.com.

I should hopefully have the next Bohol entry up tomorrow. Internet permitting(it’s painfully slow where I stay).
